Training
All classes are offered in our large, modern training facility. We occasionally hold classes outside, weather permitting. We keep the classes small so that individual attention can be given to handlers and their dogs.
Obedience Classes
PUPPY (Level I) |

| 8 week class | This class is for puppies who are 2 to 5 months of age. We focus on socialization along with owner guidance. The class helps you understand dog behavior and how to get your dog to do what you want, while building a wonderful life-long relationship with your canine pal! We teach you to train your dog, using lots of praise and rewards for positive reinforcement. Learn how to walk your dog on slack leash, get your dog to greet people politely and socialize with other dogs, come when called, sit, down, stay, "leave it", and to respect and trust you. | $90.00 |
BEGINNERS (Level I) |

| 8 week class | This class is for people who might be starting training later with a dog 5 months of age or older, or for people who are not sure if their adopted dog has had limited or no training at all. We teach you to train your dog, using lots of praise and rewards for positive reinforcement. Learn how to walk your dog on slack leash, get your dog to greet people politely and socialize with other dogs, come when called, sit, down, stay, "leave it", and to respect and trust you. Last night of class will be a skill match. | $90.00 |
INTERMEDIATE (Level II) |

| 8 week class | If you and your dog have a good start with basics, refine your dog's obedience skills just for fun, for better control or to try other dog sports, from Obedience competition, to Agility, Tracking or Hearding. This class builds on the groundwork started in Level I, with more advanced heeling, quicker reponses, distant stays, ignoring distractions, coming when called off-leash. Last night of class will be a fun match. | $80.00 |
What's Needed for Classes?
Classes are by pre-registration only. Call to reserve your place. Classes tend to fill up quickly. There is no refund once you register for class or if you miss a class. You may make arrangements for private make-up lessons or if you would like additional one-on-one training at $30 per hour. Bring proof of up-to-date vaccinations including bordatella (kennel cough). Bring your dog with his/her regular collar, Gentle Leader or Halti, on a six foot leash of leather, nylon, or cotton. Also bring your dog's dinner, mixed with treats your dog really likes, and your dog's favorite toy for play rewards. If possible, don't feed your dog dinner before class. Children younger than 15 must have instructor's permission to train in class. Younger children and other household members are welcome to watch if you can follow directions and not interfere with training.
Agility and Rally Classes
What's Agility?
It's the dog sport you see on TV where the dog navigates a maze by going through tunnels, jumping over hurdles, and walking on objects such as a see-saw and a balance beam.

RALLY CLASS |

| 8 week class | This class is designed for people who want to add a twist to traditional obedience. Rally class focuses on you and your dog working as a team. You and your dog will work through a course of signs and perform the obedience-related activity the sign requests. The class helps strengthen the bond between you and your dog. It keeps your dog interested in working for you and excited to learn more. We emphasize positive reinforcement, so we encourage you to bring lots of treats and anything else your dog loves! (Limit 6 dogs) *Must have completed Beginning Dog Obedience Class (Level I) |

What's Needed for Agility and Rally Class?
Classes are by pre-registration only. Call to reserve your place. You will need to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations including bordatella (kennel cough). Bring your dog on his/her buckle collar and a regular leash with a bag of treats and a couple of toys.
